We specialize in helping you make the decisions about your custom home; we will sit down with you and talk about the interior features you want in your home as well as the exterior features you want. We will evaluate the lot you purchased and how you will use your outdoor living spaces. We can help facilitate in-ground swimming pools, pool houses, outdoor kitchens, or anything you can dream up for your outdoor enjoyment! We will never impose our ideas on you, there is not a specific home we are trying to create, just a home that fits your family!
What does the North Star Premier Custom Homes process look like?
First, we encourage you to tour our homes under construction to see what it looks like in action. Our team will schedule a time with you to tour several homes in different phases of the construction process.
There are three phases of our home-building process: architectural/design phase, pre-construction phase, and construction/selection process phase.
Architectural/Design Phase
In the architectural/design phase, we work closely with our architect and project designer to create your custom home plan. Some people decide they want to start from an existing layout rather than start from scratch, and that’s okay, too.
Pre-construction Phase
Pre-construction is when you’ll meet the team that will be working on your home. We review all the details of your home plans and discuss your allowances for the finishes. Finally, construction and selection process begins!
What does my involvement look like in the custom home process?
North Stars process is integrating as much of “you” into your home as possible. Building a custom home does require a weekly time commitment, we also understand people have busy schedules. Our designers specialize in the new home construction process and are exceptionally good at coordinating the selection process to work with your schedule.
How often will North Star be on site to oversee and inspect the home-building process?
Our project manager is on site at our homes daily. We also use a software program that connects our team and you to the construction and selection process, keeping everyone well informed. We truly handle every aspect of the construction process from start to finish!
